Model's Workshop Fashion 5 completed their fifth show for the 2014/2014 season on February 8th, 2015, featuring Purple Moon Creations by designer, Poulet Koenkamp. I was fortunate enough to have been cast in the show so I wanted to bring you just a taste of some of the magnificent fashions that were featured during that spectacular event shown here on my beautiful fellow models. As you can see we modeled many different styles from Purple Moon including both casual and formal looks. The well designed runway and lovely set were created by Model's Workshop CEO, Suki Rexen. With Fashion Show Committee Chair, AbbyJean directing the show and COO, Jena Adder choreographing a special number set to "The Girl of Ipanema" showcasing the lovely Harmony dress, the show was a huge success! Don't fret though, just in case you missed this fabulous show I've included all information on Purple Moon below as well as the styling credits on the beautiful pieces I was honored to model. The Adele Suit I wore in the show comes in a range of colors including bronze, which I'm showing you in the photo above. I love the skinny trousers and very tailored blazer. It's definitely a go-to suit when you need to look "boss". I felt so pretty and feminine walking the runway dressed in this with an amazing pile of jumbled curls as an updo from Analog Dog. I chose to wear barely there strappy sandals from Pixel Fashions in gold to complete the look. The triple ruffled skirt pattern is a mix of winsome checks, stripes and chevrons. Patchwork appeal at it's best. I am modeling it in black but it comes in various colors, all appealing. I accented it with a stunning piece of statement jewelry, this beaded necklace by Glitterati. I'm in love with the antique silver purse by Cult of Belgar and I think it adds just the right touch! I modeled this show stopper as well, the Miss Scarlet Gown in red. The dramatic boa wrap that comes with the ensemble frames the face beautifully. The double slits further turn up the volume and show off your legs perfectly. Wear it with or without the boa and choose from a dazzling array of colors. On January 31st, 2015 I had the pleasure of walking in a fashion show produced by Models R Us, a tribute to the lovely Coco Chanel and her timeless style and beauty. The models styled vintage Chanel looks reminiscent of the 1920's when Chanel began revolutionizing fashion. The set was a beautiful backdrop for the show featuring a quaint Parisian scene in the twilight hours. There aren't enough words to describe how talented this fashion designer was. Coco Chanel invented the little black dress and bell bottom pants. She was the first to use jersey as a woman's fabric. Her amazing sense of style made her a true visionary! I think this talented team of professionals from Models R Us was very successful in paying tribute to the talents and style of this fashion icon, Coco Chanel! If you missed this show don't worry, Models R Us presents a differently themed fashion show each month. Be sure to join the "Cupid Lovers" Fashion Show on February 28th! April Sue's first look was a version of the classic "little black dress" by Dollie Designs. After all Chanel did invent it! She chose to add a pop of color with accessories in a deep shade of red. The overall look was chic and beautiful! She looked every bit the part with her veiled hat and retro cigarette holder. Gorgeous April Sue! The jacket with softly shaped peplum bottom is from Heth Haute Couture. She paired it brilliantly with a white cotton pencil skirt from DE Designs. Lady Falina chose the accessories to accentuate this amazing look including everything from the perfect hat and shoes to the perfect handbag. Lady Falina's styling is always spot on! The dress, appropriately called Scandal is by Volstead. With a drop waist and embroidered detailing on the neck, armhole, and hem trim, this dress represents the class and simplicity Chanel brought to all of her designs. Amazing styling Lady Falina! This suit by SYS again gives a nod to the crispness of black and white that Coco Chanel so loved. His use of accessories perfectly complemented the outfit, bringing to mind the elite of Paris gathering in cafes during the era to talk, drink, dance and enjoy all the great city had to offer. Absolutely fetching Caesar! Caeser again took our breath away with this very dapper Chanel inspired look. As Chanel was influenced by menswear a great deal during her career it was wonderful to see menswear included in the show. Caesar shows us a skinny black trouser paired with a classically cut jacket in red. The mandarin collar accentuates the strands of beads he's chosen to wear around his neck. The two-tone shoes were eye-catching as was the sporty red bag but for me it was the jaunty head wrap and bow that really set the outfit off. Fantastic styling job Caeser! I used one of Coco Chanel's favorite color pairings, pink and black, so chic! Sexy stilettos by Glamistry and seamed black stockings by Blacklace added authenticity to the look but what took the first place prize for accessories in my opinion was the stand out brooch by Chop Zuey. The beautiful sparkling jewels really stood out against the austere background of the jacket. The Norah Hat by Elisea Carter just took my breath away and it paired perfectly with the dress. The dotted seamed stockings are by Blacklace and the demure little white lace gloves are by Adam & Eve. Again though the star of the show is this lovely beaded necklace by Glitterati that fills the neckline of the dress in so well. I hope I did Coco Chanel vintage some justice! As you can see the models did their homework. Congratulations to you all on the wonderful looks you created for the Models R Us "Evening in Paris" Fashion Show! |
