Good Day Everyone! I often wish I lived in a time where women still dressed with hats for every outfit and little gloves. Honestly, I doubt I'd fit in except for the dressing but I love all things vintage and I adore the idea dressing from head to toe for all occasions from breakfast to bridge. Putting together this outfit made me feel like a lady on her way to lunch with friends and perhaps a table or two of bridge. This marvelous dress is still available for one more day at the Designer Showcase. It's called the "Jayne Pin Up Dress" by AnaMarkova. It's available in a variety of colors including the "Kisses" color I'm wearing below. You can opt for the fatpack if you wish, which I think with a dress like this, is a great idea. You'll wear this one over and over for all sorts of functions. With the dress I'm wearing the "Felt Hat in 4 Petals" by Petit Chat. It's available until tomorrow at Lost and Found and comes in two other styles, "Hearts" and "Stars". All come with a HUD for color changes for each part of the hat allowing for lots of choices. Trinity Yazimoto has done her usual great work creating this original mesh. Also by Petit Chat, available in the next round of Marvelous Events, starting the 5th of December, is this very feminine, yet completely professional "My Leather Briefcase". This designer briefcase comes in Black, Dark brown, Brown, Deep blue, Teal, Red, Grey, and the Fuschia shown below. It comes with a HUD for lots of possibilities and is perfect to tote just about anything with you. The jewelry set I'm wearing is from Moondance Boutique. It's called "Sailor Moon" and comes with necklace, earrings, and bracelet. It's not a new set but one of my favorites. As always Kathrin Dassin gives us lovely pieces we can wear for everyday as well as for those special occasions. The HUD provides plenty of different choices for the gems and metal. It can be resized as well. I've chosen to wear it in the pastel pink color to match my outfit. I'm wearing the "Maxine Mesh Head" by LAQ. My hair is a tousled short hairdo called #23 by Dura. It goes perfectly with my ensemble, with wispy pieces slipping from beneath the hat here and there. Now all I need to do is learn how to play bridge and I'm all set. Actually this outfit reminds me of something they would have worn in the movie "The Help". Great movie, if you have a chance to see it, do so. It's about life in 1950's Southern United States and the interaction between the society matrons of the day and their "help", the black maids, cooks etc. that ran their households, raised their children and cooked for their luncheons and dinner parties. The whole time being completely discreet until finally an outspoken young writer asks them to speak out about their experiences by sharing their stories with her. It's both poignant and funny, pulling a whole range of emotions from you. I loved it and highly recommend it. This outfit reminds me of something one of the young matrons would have worn to their club meeting or Tupperware party. Here's hoping hats come back in fashion someday in RL. In the meantime at least I can enjoy them on SL! Fashionably Yours... xox Arianna Styling Credits:
