I have always wanted to model on SL and over the summer I finally took some time to research and choose a good modeling academy that I felt would be able to teach me what I needed to know to start me off on my modeling career. I chose Scala Modeling Academy. I've listed all the contact information on the Resources page for the convenience of any readers that might be interested. In doing my homework and investigating other academies, even taking a short course at another, I can honestly tell you Scala does an absolutely fantastic job. Is it easy? No way! I found myself biting my nails and pulling at my hair at times. I was so overcome with nervousness at my final exam that my hands wouldn't stop shaking! Doesn't sound like fun does it? Oh but it is! I had the most fun and met the best people. They did exactly what I wanted, taught me what I needed to know to get started and coached me until I was ready. You can read my testimonial of Scala here: http://www.scala-sl.com/academy/scala-models-academy-august-2014-graduates/ I could sing Scala's praises all day but this post is about one of the sponsors of our Scala graduating show, LeeZu Designs. I had a few LeeZu pieces but I didn't really appreciate the true talent of this designer until we were chosen to model the newest collection. The clothing is sublime, very original mesh shapes, and not the same old thing just in different colors. This designer is quite inventive and mixes vintage looks with a fresh modern perspective. Each piece manages to capture something fun and feminine, from the amazing sleeve detail in her vintage blouses to the shapely silhouette of her nuage skirts. Her textures are deeply detailed and amazingly sophisticated. As I modeled my looks for the show I found myself falling in love. Now I've put together a mini collection of some of my favorites for your review. Take some time to visit the LeeZu store In-World and on Market Place and fall in love like I did with a truly talented designer. First up from LeeZu is the fabulous Vintage Blouse with intricate detailing on the sleeves and a feminine, flirty shape. I've chosen the leaf pattern in lilac and paired it with the Nuage Skirt in black. The Nuage Skirt comes in many colors and is a definite staple for your virtual closet. The tweedy texture and perfect length give it a classic, timeless elegance and lends itself well to being dressed up or dressed down. I chose to accessorize with bold statement pieces of jewelry and super, sexy fishnet strappy heels. She counters the bright yellow with a neutral gray, lending a bit of sophistication to the dress. Also adding interest are the strategically placed cutouts, revealing sexy, sun-kissed skin. I've accessorized the dress with some tropical flair, adding a floral hair comb and strappy sandals. I'm showing the gray/brown version here with a gorgeous nude slingback and lovely cocktail ring. Tousled casual hair and minimal makeup balances out the sophisticated print of this dress and keeps the look modern and fresh. With the red and bright pink print on a serene blue background and a red sash this dress provides the perfect neckline for just the right necklace. The length of the dress is flattering, allowing long legs to show off sexy heels or boots. I've chosen to pair it here with Gladiator Sandals in red. The skirt has a prim overlay which allows fluid movement and adds an air of playfulness. If blue is not your color don't despair, it comes in other choices as well! Adrienne models the lovely selections she wore in the show below starting with the Noell Gown, a gorgeous, lush purple creation with matching hat. She always accessorizes perfectly and her styling here is no exception. The dress goes perfectly with the necklace and earrings from Finesmith. I think it's always good to feature guest models and stylists on blogs so that everyone can get a different styling perspective from time to time. I thank Adrienne so much for her willingness to pose for me! The neckline and attention to detail in the lace trim is amazing. Adrienne has styled it perfectly with fun touches including these cute pink cowboy boots from G. Fields. It's a great party dress and a definite ice breaker, just try to attend a function in this dress without being asked about what you are wearing. Fields Hair by Truth Styled by Adrienne Bouevier Location: Hayabusa Design Adrienne is looking very sexy in the Vera Lingerie by LeeZu. So feminine and flirty, it flatters her figure and evokes sensual images of women half dressed waiting in their boudoirs for an illicit lover perhaps? At any rate no matter what she's up to Adrienne looks amazing! It comes in a variety of colors but I love the mauve, which I'm showing here. This gown is not for a woman that is not comfortable in the spotlight because it does attract a lot of attention, especially the stunning back. It's a winner all around! The first of which is the Doucemon Jacket and Cat Tights. The jacket offers awesome detail in the inverted back pleat with a great print. The tights are very clean and well fitting, the holes keeping them fresh and stylish. I accessorized this look with some great modern jewelry shapes and a cute little ankle boot that matches the jacket exactly. I just love the casual yet very sexy result! The silhouette with fetching prim attachments make a statement of glamor and sophistication. My modeling coach, Seashell Dench called this dress fierce and I would have to agree! A completely sexy and delicious outfit in an incredible shade of red. You can't help but feel naughty and adventurous when you have this little number on! Styling Credits:
