Today is the last day of Fashion For Change. If you have not already been make sure to stop in before it closes. This event was sponsored by MVW and BOSL and raised funds for Womankind Worldwide. Womankind Worldwide is an international women's rights charity that helps women to better their lives. For more information about this very special organization visit their website: http://womankind.org.uk/ lybraLybra has outdone themselves with this gorgeous gown done for FFC. This strapless number called, "Nyala" comes in three different colors. I chose the gold and I am not disappointed! With it's vivid coloring and long flowing train it's absolutely breathtaking. There is also a decorative flower pin for that perfect finishing touch. For jewelry I'm wearing one of my favorites, the "Sienna" chandelier earrings by Lazuri and the "Elements Coral and Gold Bracelet" by Zuri. My hair is piled high in a lovely updo by Truth called "Nayeli" and I'm in love with my eye make-up, the "Nefertiti Eye Make-Up" in gold. The whole look is absolutely striking! Styling Credits:

baboomFFC is now going strong and hopefully you have had an opportunity to head over to the Womankind Worldwide Website to read about some of the wonderful things this organization is doing to help women in need. As I read over some of the individual experiences of these women it makes me very grateful for what I have and it serves to remind me that I take it for granted almost every day. Today, I'm featuring the FFC exclusive offered by Baboom, a beautiful ethnic gown with matching head wrap, called "Mandala". The lovely gold arm bands, bracelets and choker are included. The theme of the event is "Haute Couture goes Ethnic" and Baboom's interpretation is perfect! THE WALL of REMEMBRANCE I came upon a Wall the other day a memorial, long and grim and grey, names carved upon it speaking of heroics but not of the accepted kind, a living list growing daily stretching east and west, north and south upon all the continents. The granite face of it bled and cried for those who’d died so needlessly – mothers, children, wives; intimidated, beaten, bruised, butchered, choked and shot – these casualties unspeakable, fatal refuse of familial strife, announcing where some vicious coward in their weakness had stolen another precious life. Standing there and watching that dismal listing grow I saw increasing numbers of people I used to know – once living, breathing, talented and contributing, yet vulnerable, oh so vulnerable to those who’d never learned to value them. Search the Wall; make a rubbing of some name as momento of our neglectful shame in that we tolerate, ignore, deny, those brutal facts of harm in toxic homes. Don’t let another day go by before you speak or write or act; reach out to someone hurting – why should another woman have to die? The two piece set consists of a ruffle layered top with a full skirt. The top is solid but the skirt has a muted floral print with touches of fawn and deep red. I'm sporting a sassy short haircut called "Makoto" by Argrace. It's playfulness balances out the more formal skirt set, the final touch being the casual and sporty earrings and bracelet set called "Omochi" by Mandala. This skirt set makes me feel so pretty and feminine, it's perfect for FFC! It reminds me that sometimes we have to take a bit of time for ourselves, to remember we are empowered and in charge of our destiny! Styling Credits:
