Good Day Everyone! I often wish I lived in a time where women still dressed with hats for every outfit and little gloves. Honestly, I doubt I'd fit in except for the dressing but I love all things vintage and I adore the idea dressing from head to toe for all occasions from breakfast to bridge. Putting together this outfit made me feel like a lady on her way to lunch with friends and perhaps a table or two of bridge. This marvelous dress is still available for one more day at the Designer Showcase. It's called the "Jayne Pin Up Dress" by AnaMarkova. It's available in a variety of colors including the "Kisses" color I'm wearing below. You can opt for the fatpack if you wish, which I think with a dress like this, is a great idea. You'll wear this one over and over for all sorts of functions. With the dress I'm wearing the "Felt Hat in 4 Petals" by Petit Chat. It's available until tomorrow at Lost and Found and comes in two other styles, "Hearts" and "Stars". All come with a HUD for color changes for each part of the hat allowing for lots of choices. Trinity Yazimoto has done her usual great work creating this original mesh. Also by Petit Chat, available in the next round of Marvelous Events, starting the 5th of December, is this very feminine, yet completely professional "My Leather Briefcase". This designer briefcase comes in Black, Dark brown, Brown, Deep blue, Teal, Red, Grey, and the Fuschia shown below. It comes with a HUD for lots of possibilities and is perfect to tote just about anything with you. The jewelry set I'm wearing is from Moondance Boutique. It's called "Sailor Moon" and comes with necklace, earrings, and bracelet. It's not a new set but one of my favorites. As always Kathrin Dassin gives us lovely pieces we can wear for everyday as well as for those special occasions. The HUD provides plenty of different choices for the gems and metal. It can be resized as well. I've chosen to wear it in the pastel pink color to match my outfit. I'm wearing the "Maxine Mesh Head" by LAQ. My hair is a tousled short hairdo called #23 by Dura. It goes perfectly with my ensemble, with wispy pieces slipping from beneath the hat here and there. Now all I need to do is learn how to play bridge and I'm all set. Actually this outfit reminds me of something they would have worn in the movie "The Help". Great movie, if you have a chance to see it, do so. It's about life in 1950's Southern United States and the interaction between the society matrons of the day and their "help", the black maids, cooks etc. that ran their households, raised their children and cooked for their luncheons and dinner parties. The whole time being completely discreet until finally an outspoken young writer asks them to speak out about their experiences by sharing their stories with her. It's both poignant and funny, pulling a whole range of emotions from you. I loved it and highly recommend it. This outfit reminds me of something one of the young matrons would have worn to their club meeting or Tupperware party. Here's hoping hats come back in fashion someday in RL. In the meantime at least I can enjoy them on SL! Fashionably Yours... xox Arianna Styling Credits:

Hi All! While going through some things from Prey I was delighted to find the "Birds of Prey" outfit. Dramatic with so much flair, this outfit features a mask reminiscent of some of the Venetian ones, wings, neck corset, and feather attachments for the skirt and train. The pieces are detailed and well done and when put together the look is amazing. I headed over to Woodbury Falls to take some photos in the darker, post-apocalyptic setting. The gloomy shadows of the trees in the hazy, dark setting is awesome for dramatic photos. "Birds of Prey" comes in standard mesh sizes with alpha. It also comes with the optional attachment of the birds you see flying about me. With it I'm wearing this fabulous hairstyle called, "Bibi" by Zibska. A very interesting style sculpted into a birdcage with some whimsical inhabitants. I tinted my lipstick for my "Maxine Head" by LAQ and slipped on my "Feather Earrings" in Black by Izzie's and I was set. No further accessories needed with a dramatic outfit like this. I remember when I first started taking photos, I knew very little. I had to learn about windlights, composition, etc. I am always going to be learning as far as photography goes, there is just so many great tutorials and videos out there to help. I've already compiled quite a list of my favorites. It's fun to experiment and see what you can come up with! Styling Credits:
Hair: Bibi by Zibska Earrings: Feather Earrings in Black by Izzie's Outfit: Birds of Prey by Prey Poses: Posesion Location: Woodbury Falls Hello All! Getting ready for the holiday parties to come I came across this fabulous gown by Vero Modero called, the "Cassini Gown". This dress has a texture that reminds me of one that was worn on the red carpet a few years ago. This strapless curve hugging gown flairs at the hips with a luxuriously long train. The black sequin embellished lace is sewn over a nude lining, giving the very sensuous illusion that you aren't wearing anything beneath. I love gowns that give that type of illusion, they are sexy in such a sophisticated way! It's available with appliers for Belleza, Physique and Maitreya Mesh Bodies. With the gown I'm wearing one of my favorites from Moondance Boutique called, "Resplendent O'Hare" Jewelry Set. It includes necklace with optional gem drops at the clasp, cluster and chandelier earrings, bracelets, ring and crown. The set has always been one of my favorites and it's nice to reach for old favorites instead of what's always new sometimes. You have the option to change both gem types as well as the metal color with this fabulous set. My eyes are the "Corona Set 1" by La Boheme. I've included a photo of the HUD so you can see the choices available to you. I like the unique color and smaller pupil. I'm wearing them with the LAQ mesh head called, "Maxine". The stylish bob I'm wearing is by Due called, "Sparkle". I love the blunt, chunky cut with the slightly curled ends. Freya Dubled, creator behind Due does a wonderful job with hair textures. I was very pleased with the whole look and I will definitely be wearing it to one of my upcoming holiday events I'm sure. Right now though, I'm headed to tackle some inventory cleaning. I dread it but loving shopping the way I do you have to make room for the new. Before I do anything though I've decided to reward myself with a piece of pumpkin pie. After all I have to keep up my strength, especially with my inventory! Fashionably Yours... xox Arianna Styling Credits:
