VIP Treatment, Strap Top and Petal Dress
I had the good fortune to be able to model a few things from the Rapture line during the 24 Squared event and I was thrilled to wear them. I was delighted by the unique mesh items and vivid colors. I was also able to attend the Rapture fashion show which gave me even more insight to the brand. The genius behind Rapture is Gin Rayna, a very talented artist with a sophisticated eye. The line puts emphasis on shape with distinctive mesh pieces that make a statement. Once I learned more about the brand, of course I became hooked. If you haven't visited the store, give yourself a treat and head over there. The decor and layout show off the eye-catching shapes that Rapture is known for. There is also the ability to join the VIP group, which in my opinion is a great move. Only $150L to join, Rapture VIP's are able to purchase special items, receive substantial discounts on new releases (as much as 40% off) and enjoy many other perks and goodies. This week I'm modeling the Strap Top and Petal Dress. The texture of the strap top is sublime with a very realistic leather look. The wonderful slightly curved straps that join the front and back pieces fall perfectly and allow a peek into some "side cleavage". The top pairs well with skinny jeans, pencil skirts, cigarette pants, capris or leggings like the ones I've shown below. The high neck calls attention to your face, so an interesting make-up and a great pair of earrings are all you need. I've kept my hair up to show off the clean lines of the top.

The Petal Dress by Rapture features a mix of patterns in the way of a tropical print and striped textile. The dress has shaping around the top of the bodice and at the waist, bringing to mind the petals of a flower curving gently open to reveal the loveliness within. Right now the Petal Dress is available at a steep discount for Rapture VIP's. I've paired it with a gorgeous multi-strand necklace of turquoise and a strappy little shoe. The sophisticated palette of color makes this a perfect party dress.
Gidget and tenacity
I've always loved Sky Summerwind Designs. They are so colorful, fresh and best of all fun to wear! It's been my pleasure to model at her store and whenever I'm wearing a Sky creation to an event or just out and about I always get asked about my outfit. Now as we roll into the autumn and cold weather threatens to seep into our real lives we can still have summer fun in our Second Life :) Sky's latest design is perfect for a day at the beach or a vacation at a resort. With a nod to the fifties this playful set is aptly titled "Gidget" and comes in red, blue and a delightful shade called creamsicle. This swimsuit definitely put you in mind of those innocent times, hearing the music of the ice cream truck in the distance, waiting for it to turn the corner and afterward enjoying your ice pop or creamsicle in the hot sun. Right now this adorable set is on sale for only $60L. For that price pick up two sets and mix and match!
Along with my Gidget Set in red I'm wearing the Tenacity Shoes in white. Great detailing with sexy lines, the Tenacity Shoe by Sky Summerwind goes with almost anything. Besides the white I'm wearing it also comes in black, chocolate, camel, nude, red, orchid and ink. Awesome colors for an awesome shoe! Best of all this sexy shoe in black and ink is on sale for only $100L each! While you are grabbing some of these great buys don't forget to check out the new nail salon located at Sky's Main Store. I'm wearing the Bow Pastels in white for the photos.
